Supplier of Wood for Pallets in the Shipping Industry
There are few things as omnipresent in the shipping industry as wood pallets. Since the twentieth century, pallets carrying shrink-wrapped material have gradually replaced wooden crates as the preferred method of transporting goods. When used in conjunction with forklifts and pallet jacks, they streamline warehousing, allowing for mass quantities of items to be moved and stored easily.
MTE carefully harvests pallet wood from the Menominee Forest to supply wooden skid manufacturers with high-quality materials to keep these workhorses of the shipping industry in service longer.
Whether you’re producing stringer pallets, block pallets or composite versions, MTE has the lumber and by-products to keep the pallets in production.

Kiln Dried Pallet Wood for Phytosanitary Compliance
Because of the International Plant Protection Convention, the majority of pallets crossing national borders must comply with sanitary standards (ISPM 15). MTE’s kiln dried wood meets the mandated criteria, preventing plant diseases and invasive insect species from being transported across national lines. MTE also supplies manufacturers with wood chips and shavings to produce oriented strand board, which is exempt from IPPC regulations.
Pine and oak for wood pallet manufacturing
MTE Wood supplies both hardwood and softwood species for companies producing shipping pallets and skids for transport. Pine is the most common wood used in the production of shipping pallets, and is also a plentiful species in the Menominee Forest. Our sustainable forestry methods allow us to keep a consistent stock of heavier oak wood for pallet building as well. We've got all the raw material your pallet manufacturing company needs to produce runners and stringers in nearly any dimension you require.
