Forestry Project Intern A
The Forest Development department is responsible for planting and reestablishing tree regeneration on the Menominee forest. It is essential for the program to know the amount and quality of regeneration in planted and naturally regenerated stands. This position shall be responsible for completing regeneration surveys to collect that data. Other activities pertaining to forest management and specifically to invasive species surveys and eradication efforts will also be necessary. Also responsible for remarking permanent monitoring plots and assisting with crop tree and corrective pruning in regenerating white pine stands. MTE Operations Administrator

BIL Fuels Technician
Menominee Tribal Enterprises is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our Prescribed Fire and Fuels Crew. The BIL Fuels Technician is a temporary, full time position with an expected duration of two years, or until Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) funding is exhausted. Primary responsibilities of this position include assisting in the planning, preparation, and implementation of prescribed fire operations and manual and mechanical hazardous fuels treatments. Duties also involve monitoring fire effects, smoke behavior, and fuel moisture conditions to ensure safe and effective project outcomes. The employee will conduct field assessments to identify and evaluate hazardous fuel conditions and support the development of appropriate treatment strategies. As needed, this position will assist the Fuels Specialist in leading fuels personnel of varying crew sizes and will support wildland fire suppression efforts on the Menominee Reservation.
